Breaking: CBN extends old Naira notes deadline

by OkeomaNews

The country’s apex bank, Central Bank of Nigeria has extended the deadline for the usage of old Naira notes.

The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, in a statement in Abuja on Sunday announced February 10 as the new date for the deadline of the old Naira notes of N1000, N500 and N200.

The extension came after many complained that the new Naira notes were scarce and could affect the economy going by the previous January 31 deadline.

If the currency is okay for masses there should not be need of extension but we can’t do otherwise because the Apex leaders has said it.

With this new colour of currencies now, there’s likely to be fake in massive….note that.
