by OkeomaNews

Rampaging gunmen in the early hours of Saturday attacked the country home of the Labour Party candidate in Okigwe Local Government Area of the Imo State legislative election, Nnaemeka Obiaraeri.

His house, cars, his father’s and uncles houses were burnt and destroyed by the gunmen said to had operated in three vehicles.

Obiaraeri confirmed the attacked on his country home in a statement he personally issued on Saturday morning.

The LP candidate blamed the attack on failure of the All Progressives Congress led administrations in the state and at the centre.

Obiaraeri who entitled the statement, ” just got another share of the terrible state of insecurity in Nigeria, called on Nigerians to vote for Peter Obi as the country’s next president.

His statement read “Unknown Gun Men [surely known to their sponsors],  went to my country home in Amagu Ihube to burn down my  house and burn to ashes my operational factory vehicles  parked there in .

“They also destroyed my fathers house and that of my uncle …. My aged mum and siblings are in Trauma!!!

“Three Hilux Trucks loaded with bandits and killers, went on a spree of burning houses and maiming people without anyone stopping them…

“I don’t know who I offended and why anyone will target me for destruction.. I have not eaten anyone’s yam or fish…

“This is another evidence of the failure of the APC Governments in Imo State and Aso Rock,Nigeria to live up to their OATH OF OFFICE of Protecting lives and properties of law abiding Nigerians…. Total failure of Governments and leaderships

“This again reinforces our call for Nigerians to pick their PVCs and help vote in Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed of the Labour Party as the Next PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT of Nigeria .”

Chi nụọ a nụ ọzọ. The rate of insecurity is too much especially in Imo State. If the leaders or rich ones are not secured who is secured? This shows that without God no one is secured. O God, I plead you to guide and protect us in Jesus Christ’s name Amen

This is becoming out of hand, may God help us. I pray this should not continue after this over heated election.
