Araraume appeals judgement sacking him as Imo North LP senatorial candidate

by OkeomaNews

Ifeanyi Araraume junior has appealed the Monday judgement delivered by a federal High court in Abuja sacking him as the Labour Party candidate for Imo North senatorial district.

The court had its judgement declared Okorondu Nwachukwu as the authentic LP candidate for Imo North senatorial district.

But Okeomanews gathered that Araraume, a former commissioner for commerce and industry in Imo State had appealed the judgment.

Several sources close to him told Okeomanews that he appealed the judgment and obtained a stay of execution order against the judgment on Monday.

The sources were hopeful that Araraume would upturn the judgment at the appeal court.

One of the sources said ” he has appealed the judgment. A stay has been obtained and the independent National Electoral commission has been served. Ifeanyi Araraume junior is still the Labour Party candidate for Imo North senatorial district. There is no cause for the alarm. We have noted some mistakes in the judgement. Hopefully, the judgment would be upturned at the appellant court.”
