Police hunt for kidnappers of Imo LGA boss

The police in Imo State have began a search for the rescue of the sole administrator of the Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, Chris Ohizu.

The cops are also hunting for the suspects who abducted the council boss after razing his country home at Imoko community in Arondizuogu area of the LGA.

Some criminals had kidnapped Ohizu with two others after burning his house.

Reacting to the development, the spokesperson for the police in the state, Henry Okoye, told Okeomanews that all had been put in place for the rescue of the victims and for the suspects to be  apprehended.

Okoye said “On 20th January 2023 at about 0100 am, some armed gunmen number yet unknown attacked the home of the Sole Administrator (SOLAD) of Ideato North LGA of Imo State, Mr Christopher Ohizu ‘m’, shot him on his leg, shot his two security dogs, burnt his house, abducted him and two others, one Christopher Okeke ‘m’ and Onyedikachi Kanu ‘m’ after which they drove away to an unknown destination with one of the SOLAD’s vehicles. 

“Operatives of Imo State Police Command including the APC crew are on trail to ensure instantaneous release of the captives, possible apprehesion and prosecution of the perpetrators of this dreadful crime.”
