Breaking: Court disbands Ebubeagu security network

A Federal High Court in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on Tuesday pronounced the disbandment of the Ebubeagu security network in the state.

The court’s verdict was because of human rights abuses, extortions, illegal arrests and use of fire arms leading to lost of human lives.

The activities of the operatives had attracted public condemnation, making the public to call for its scrapping.

The state owned security agency was formed in 2021 by the governors of the south Eastern region as a measure to fight insecurity in the region.

The meeting which held at the Imo State government House in Owerri, had in attendance the Inspection General of Police and other critical stakeholders.
