INEC to conduct supplementary elections on April 15

The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed April 15 for the conduct of Supplementary elections across the federation.

The electoral umpire announced this on Monday after rising from a meeting in Abuja.

The commission said “Arising from its meeting held today, the Independent National Electoral Commission has decided that all outstanding Governorship, National and State Assembly supplementary elections will take place on Saturday 15th April 2023.

“A detailed official statement will follow shortly.”

INEC will on that conduct supplementary elections in Kebbi and Adamawa states.

INEC had on March 18 declared the Kebbi and Adamawa states governorship elections, inconclusive.

It will also conduct supplementary elections in various states for Senatorial, House of representatives and state Assembly elections.
