A former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, is said to be among the chieftains and supporters of the All Progressives Congress who are expected to welcome president Muhammadu Buhari and the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu to the state today.

Impeccable sources confided in OkeomaNews that Okorocha would be among the dignitaries who would attend and speak at the zonal rally.
Should Okorocha attend, this would be the first public appearance he would make at any APC event since the party’s presidential primary in May where he got no vote.
OkeomaNews reports that Okorocha and the vice Presidential candidate of the APC, Kashim Shettima, had in January met in a closed door meeting in Abuja.
It was reported that part of the agenda of the meeting was for Okorocha who currently represents Imo west at the senate to publicly endorse the APC presidential and vice presidential candidates.
Okorocha is currently being prosecuted by the federal government through Economic Financial Crimes Commission’s office for allegedly misappropriating public funds while he served as the governor of Imo State between 2011 and 2019.
