The president candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, will be in Owerri, the Imo State capital on Thursday, OkeomaNews can authoritatively report.
A source at the LP Presidential Campaign Council in the state told OkeomaNews that Obi would be visiting the state for a town hall meeting arrangement with professionals in the state.
OkeomaNews gathered that the town hall meeting would hold at Landmark Event centre located at new Owerri.
” Peter Obi will be in Owerri for a Town hall meeting with all the professional bodies in the state. The event will hold at Landmark Event centre at new Owerri.
“We are doing our best to ensure we manage crowd that is why we didn’t give it maximum publicity. You know Obi is the toast of the moment and people are always ready to give him a rousing welcome anywhere he goes and Imo State is totally Obident. That is why we didn’t give this his visit due publicity. If we do there could be a stampede.” A source said.
OkeomaNews reports that the last time Obi visited the state on January 6 millions of people emptied the streets to welcome him.
