BREAKING: PDP wins Adamawa gov election

The candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Umaru Fintiri, has been declared the winner of the Adamawa state governorship election.

Fintiri who is the incumbent governor of the state was declared the winner of the election on Tuesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

INEC retuned him elected in Yola, the state capital, after collation of results for the April 15 supplementary election was resumed following the drama that ensued at the collation centre on April 16.

The State Retuning officer, prof Muhammed said that Fintiri polled 430,861 votes to defeat his closest rival, senator Aishat Dahiru, of the All Progressives Congress who scored 398, 788.

AA got 643, ADC 3024, ADP 2174, APGA 892, APM 606, ADP 286, LP 2732, NNPP 4852, NRP1272, PRP 1,188, SPD 6870, YPP 1431 and ZLP 200 votes.
