The Labour Party candidate for Okigwe North Federal Constituency of Imo State, Chikwem Onuoha, has asked the national chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, to immediately sack the commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in Imo State, Silvia Agu.

Onuoha will speaking to journalists in Owerri said that available information showed that the Imo INEC REC is a younger sister to the Deputy national chairman, south East of the All Progressives Congress, Emma Oniukwu.

The LP candidate said that the INEC REC should not be allowed to supervise this Saturday’s state house of Assembly elections in the state.

Onuoha said that if Agu is allowed to supervise the elections, she would rig it for the APC in the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.

The LP candidate asserted that Agu supervised the worst election in the state on February 25 and if allowed will even do worst on March 11.

Onuoha said that Agu had committed worst electoral offences than the Sokoto and Abia States RECs who have been suspended by the commission.

He said ” INEC should immediately sack its REC in Imo State. She should not be allowed to supervise this Saturday’s elections in Imo State. She is affiliated to the APC that is why she rigged the last election in the state in favour of the APC.

“She is a younger sister to the deputy national chairman of APC in the South East. She should be removed from Imo State. She has compromised. She is not fit to supervise this Saturday’s elections in Imo State. She is an agent of the APC.”
